Building a Talent Bank
Ask girls what they would like to find more about to
build their individual business savvy during the product sale. Involve
them in building a "Talent Bank" to build a list of mentors in specific
areas.
Step 1: Create a brief, realistic, and specific statement about what you want someone to do for you. This is the position that you are looking to fill, even if just once!
Step 2: Think of people with the skills, abilities, and interests to help you.
Step 3: Think of places where you could reach these people.
Step 4: Think of what you will say. What will your pitch be? A little practice beforehand can help you approach someone you don't know.

Checklist for Making Your Pitch
1. Avoid global statements.
2. Be brief and specific - who, what, where, and when.
3. Offer some potential benefits
4. Have a Plan B in mind. If the chef at the exciting new restaurant can't do it, maybe the baker across the street can.
5. Keep in touch with everyone you invite to this group. Many may be willing to come back again or may be able to recommend people with similar skills and expertise whom you can contact.
