We use 100% recycled paperboard that has been certified by the Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI) for all of our cookie packages. Plus, the Order Card and all other cookie materials from ABC are printed on Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) paper. SFI and FSC certification means that the trees used to make the paper and paperboard on which we print have been taken from trees that were especially planted and are continually replanted for the sole use of making paper!

For the 2008-2009 sale we are reducing 371,000 square feet of paper board from cookie packages by changing the design. That is the equivalent of saving 285 trees!

Our polystyrene trays are made from recycled materials.

Our cookie cases are made from 100% post-consumer recycled board.

We use only Green Star lighting on our bakery, which uses 20% less energy.
