The first rule of success is to expect to be successful. People who expect to be successful usually are! Here are some tips for a super successful cookie training.
Build a cookie training team. Get leaders, cookie managers, parents and guardians involved.
Generate excitement about cookie time with girls and their families all year long.
Use all available Girl Scout Cookie resources, including this web site and materials from your council and online materials from GSUSA, including the 2008-09 Cookie Activity.
Communicate team goals developed by girls and council goals. Everyone needs to know how their cookie proceeds will be used.
Be respectful of everyone¹s time. Busy parents and volunteers will be more likely to participate if their time is used efficiently.
Prepare everyone for a safe, successful cookie selling experience. Review the safety information on the Order Card, from your council and in Safety-Wise or online as a download from Girl Scouts of the USA.
Make it fun, active and fast! Stress the importance of meeting cookie deadlines. A fast sale is a fun sale!
Visualize a great cookie sale, and take steps to make it happen!
